Bay Area Turning
Point, Inc. provides recovery solutions services for survivors of
family violence and sexual assault and facilitates violence prevention
strategies for societal change in partnership with our community.

Provide quality direct services to child and adult victims and families
experiencing domestic and sexual violence.
Work towards eliminating domestic and sexual violence through prevention
and educational services.
Sally was honored with six other finalists on December 18th at the Houston Texans game. Bay Area Turning Point will receive a $1500.00 contribution from the Houston Texans Foundation as a result of Sally’s nomination.
BATP selected Sally Rankin as this year’s nominee due to her work as a volunteer from 1991 to 2011, Board Member 1997 to 2011,and for her strong commitment to improving lives over the past 20 years with Bay Area Turning Point.
This is the second year that a BATP Volunteer has been selected for this award!
The United Way/Texans Community Quarterback program recognizes individuals that volunteer with United Way Agencies in the Greater Houston area who exemplify leadership, dedication and commitment to improving their communities. Each of the five 2010 finalists received a $1,500 donation for his or her organization. The Community Quarterback winner received a $10,000 donation for Meals on Wheels of Fort Bend.
Space City Films won a silver Telly in 2010 for Bay Area Turning Point; Rebuilding Lives, a piece conceptualized and filmed by Marc Havican, created to raise awareness about Bay Area Turning Point.
