Bay Area Turning Point

Food Drive & Workshop

On January 14th, Bay Area Turning Point held two free workshops on the topics of Teen Dating Violence and Bullying for the public at the Kroger location on El Camino Real and FM 528. Attendees included parents, children and teachers who were able to learn the signs for an abusive relationship as well as how to help someone in the event they find themselves in a relationship of this kind. Recent surveys have shown that at least half of American students will experience some sort of bullying in their school years. Workshop attendees now know how to recognize if a child is a victim of bullying or if they are the bully in school and the ways to help stop bullying type of behavior going on in their community. We thank Kroger for allowing Bay Area Turning Point to use their facility to teach our community about these very important issues!
