Bay Area Turning
Point offers a wide range of services survivors of family violence,
sexual assault and homelessness. All services are without cost and
are accessible 24 hours a day by calling our hotline 281-286-2525.
Non-residential services are provided to men, women and child survivors.
Available services include:
Safe shelter for
up to 65 women and children.
Transportation, child
care, medical needs, job skills, life skills, referrals, and case
management.
24 Hour Crisis Hotline
and emergency victim accompaniment to area hospitals and police
departments.
Support groups for
survivors of rape/sexual assault.
Support groups for
survivors of family violence.
Assistance in obtaining
victim rights and remedies- Protective Orders, Crime Victims'
Compensation, court accompaniment, and filing charges.
Accompaniment to
civil and criminal court hearings.
Peer support counseling
for survivors of sexual abuse and family violence.
Therapeutic counseling
for adult, adolescent and child survivors of domestic and/or sexual
abuse.
Speakers' bureau
available to give presentations to youth and adult audiences on
the following topics:
Date rape
Dating violence
Recognizing abuse
and fostering respect in relationships
